While the name may be unfamiliar to you, luxury Italian footwear brand Aquazzura has slowly but
surely been gaining a cult-like status amongst editors and bloggers since its launch in 2011. Designer
Edgardo Osorio has an eye for wearable glamour which is more than evident in his signature Sexy
Thing bootie, a firm favourite amongst the fashion set. While Sexy Things have become a regular
sighting during Fashion Month, they have been totally eclipsed by the now ubiquitous Belgravia and Christy flats. Osorio really surpassed all expectations of a flat shoe with these subtle pointy toe, lace up beauties which have a slight hint of a heel. Cool and nonchalant but with a little chutzpah, they are
undeniably the shoe of the season.
As with any must-have piece, high street retailers have been quick to turn around their own
iterations at a fraction of the £440 price tag. While New Look were first off the block with their sold
out version of the Belgravia, my favourite has to be Topshop’s collection of Christy dupes which comes in a range of heel heights. The Kingdom flats don’t have the vampy cut out details but aside from that, they are a great high street copy. I also love the mid-heeled Jupiter shoes but my favourite are the super sexy Jillian booties.
What’s your favourite?
Kingdom flats – £62
Jupiter heels – £62
Jillian heels – £68
