Top Five: Espadrilles

In my last post, I shared my thoughts on espadrilles – I
essentially went from not being a fan to being utterly obsessed in the time it
takes to open a Valentino shoe box. Although it’s still not warm enough to wear
them with floaty lace dresses and denim cut offs, I’ve been giving myself a
break from heels at the weekend and gallivanting across London in my trusty
espadrilles and cropped jeans. Although there are some great versions on the high street, the price points for a pair from
a luxury brand are fairly reasonable. Most are under £300 so perfect if you
want to splash out on an affordable investment piece for summer.

There are so many great prints, from the Valentino butterfly print pair that stole my heart to Dolce & Gabbana’s gorgeous baroque print and Stella McCartney’s leopard print pair. I also love a little bit of delicate lace like the sunny yellow Tory Burch pair and Jimmy Choo’s classic denim blue suede pair with the side cut out.

Here are my favourite espadrilles:

From left to right:

Valentino butterfly espadrilles – £285

Stella McCartney leopard print espadrilles – £230

Tory Burch silk and leather lace espadrilles – £165

Dolce & Gabbana brocade espadrilles – £255

Jimmy Choo suede espadrilles – £250
