With a show set which created a fairytale forest with a hint of darkness, I couldn’t help but think of the fairytales by the Brothers Grimm which I read as a child. Erdem seemed to have similar influences for his spring/summer 2015 collection, which was typically exquisite albeit with darker undertones. Featuring an abundance of delicate and ornate floral embroidery covering his gowns, any overt prettiness was counterbalanced by an earthy colour palette of moss and emerald greens peppered with lemon and bright white. High Victorian collars offset with the occasional plunging neckline, sheer panels and exposed shoulders and thighs. One of the highlights of London Fashion Week.
