Last season’s Daks show marked the brand’s 120th anniversary with serious pomp and ceremony, preceded by a video by Paul Weller and featuring covetable Bear Skin hats. The aesthetic for SS15 is vastly different, military influences and playing it safe are out and in their place is a sleek ode to minimalism with a touch of modernity. A refreshing and welcome change, though the micro hotpants were a slightly jarring edition to the collection. I preferred the more romantic pieces with flowing, pleated chiffon. The colour palette of moody mauves and grey tones was a welcome change too.
