Don’t tell London, but I love New York. That’s a pretty strong statement from someone who has only visited the Big Apple once but the strange thing is, I knew I would love it before I even got there. Like a Chanel 2.55, the city is pretty iconic and has served as the backdrop for some cult TV shows including Friends, Sex and the City and more recently Gossip Girl as well as countless movies. There’s something oddly familiar about walking through a city you’ve never been to, but seen for decades.
New York is just like London except bigger, taller and busier. Everything fascinated me, from the old men playing chess at Union Square and the usual tourist spots to the cobbles in the Meatpacking District. I don’t think I have ever slept to little and walked so much, I just wanted to see everything I could while plotting my return before I’d even left.
