When I think of the Arcadia Group, the first brand which pops into my mind is of course Topshop, closely followed by Miss Selfridge. To me, Wallis always seemed like the older, straight laced sister, somewhat overlooked by the cooler, younger duo. Recently, I popped into Arcadia Towers to check out the Wallis spring/summer 2013 collection and I was pleasantly surprised by what I found – the perfectly tailored, classic pieces I expected interspersed with bold, vivacious prints and utterly irresistible accessories. I couldn’t resist trying on half of the collection and immediately fell in love with the pretty butterfly print pieces and billowing kaftans.
The collection was surprisingly trend-led, not as obvious as the cool little sister brands but there were subtle nods towards key catwalk trends such as the twenties, minimalist monochrome and oversize graphic prints. Here are my top picks from the spring/summer collection:
