The John Rocha autumn/winter 2013 show opened with a pretty, frothy strapless gown adorned with 3D chiffon flowers, the perfect antidote to the stark winter nights. The romantic, marshmallow, flower strewn gowns contrasted with the colourful coats worn as capes which formed the foundation of the collection. Silhouettes were voluminous and slouchy with the occasional nipped in waist. There were darker undertones to the collection, denoted by the widow-esque veils and dramatic openwork wool dresses slashed along the seams. Dark drama for autumn/winter, utter perfection from Rocha.
