Happy new year, poppets! I hope you all saw in the new year with loved ones and had plenty of fun. There’s a saying, how you spend new year dictates the rest of your year. I’m not sure who came up with it but I beg to differ; how your year pans out is dictated by you – so make it count. Whether you’re 5 or 105, you hold the key to being happy.
One of the things I like to do on new year’s day is take stock of the year that’s just ended. Thanks to rose-tinted specs, I always see more ups than downs. In 2012, I moved in with my amazing housemate and left a so-so job for the job of my dreams. I also managed to squeeze in some awesome holidays. No matter what you’ve achieved in 2012, make sure that 2013 is an even better year.
Life is tough and there are going to be several “standing at the edge of a cliff” moments, no matter what the year brings, remember you’re strong enough to face it. Have faith.
If you want something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done. Test yourself and push yourself to be the best you can be.
Pretty much everyone (myself included) makes fitness/health related new year’s resolutions. If you’re anything like me, you’ll get frustrated if you don’t see a difference in a couple of weeks. Top up your motivation daily and stick with it, it takes time to see a difference – discipline coupled with patience are the key.
Above all, have an incredible 2013 and dare to dream out loud.
