Truthfully, I haven’t paid much attention to the H&M hype machine’s images, videos and blurb for their collaboration with Anna Dello Russo. As much as I want to have a Freaky Friday moment with Anna, I just feel so bored with high street collaborations. They all follow the same formula and it always feels a bit “been there, done that”.
On Saturday, I happened to be menswear shopping at Liberty (favourite menswear department, FYI) which is a stone’s throw from H&M’s Regent Street store. “Let’s have a peek, see what all the fuss is about” I thought, as I was drawn to the store like a moth to a flame. And actually, it wasn’t half bad! There was still plenty of stock and people calmly shopping in an orderly fashion. The quality wasn’t too bad either. As much as I adore Anna’s irreverent more-is-more aesthetic, the bold, bling collection could have gone down the tacky, market-chic route very easily. There are a few pieces I gave a wide berth to but I had to tear myself away from plenty more.
I ended up coming away with a bottle green snake cuff. Unashamedly maximalist, the shiny cuff is adorned with twinkly stones including the collection’s signature turquoise. At £34.99, it’s quite pricy in comparison to H&M’s usual fare but I think the price tag is more than justified. If I saw someone wearing this beauty, there’s no way I’d guess it was from H&M.
i LOVE this! cool box too.
WOW *_* super gorgeous!- ♥♥♥ –
I love this cuff and it does look WAY more luxe than H&M!Maria xxx
The cuff is my favourite piece from the collection, although I still haven't been in to an H&M since its launch, I'm guessing it'll be sold out now. ELL Xx
The cuff was my favourite item from the collection too, but I still haven't been into an H&M since it launched, so I'm guessing it's sold out now… ELL Xx
