When I saw the first look from KTZ’s spring/summer 2013 collection, I audibly gasped. Lace for spring is hardly controversial but the The beautiful antique lace with corsetry features just blew my mind, the sheer amount of detailing was just incredible. Inspired by gothic Lolita girls in Harajuku, the collection features soft peachy tones of antique lace with darker tones coming through. The pattern design is inspired by the natural form and structures of William Morris’ Art Nouveau 1890-1914, bringing in flowers and curved lined into the designs. I loved the engineering and captivating shape with flourishing embellishment. I think this is possibly my favourite collection of London Fashion Week, I’m in awe of the intricate work and those badass lace up boots.
