Last week, I had the pleasure of attending an intimate event
at the Agent Provocateur’s Soho store to have a sneak peek at the magnificent
autumn/winter 2012 collection. I’ve always been a fan of the super luxurious lingerie
brand but somehow I’d never actually stepped foot in a store. The store is
exactly how I’d imagined it; dark, rich and sumptuous. After a quick
introduction to the brand and a whistle-stop tour of the must-have pieces from
the new collection, we were left to our own devices in the store. The AP Girls
are all lovely and fabulously knowledgeable; within ten minutes, I was being
ushered into a changing room with one of the collection’s most talked about
pieces – The Whitney – and in the correct size too. The Whitney was definitely
my favourite, it’s just so vampish, but it was a tough choice. At the other end
of the scale is the girly, feminine Caitlin set which features wisps of soft
chiffon and subtle cut outs and lacing. Here’s a tour of the other highlights
in the AW12 collection:
The Joseline – The ultimate day set, the Joseline has a
smooth silhouette in an innovative micro-fibre for maximum comfort and everyday
luxury.
The Verronika – Pretty mauve and lilac combinedwith classic
pin up styling including an oversized scalloped lace suspender and brief.
The Caitlin – The pretty print and dainty details give the
Caitlin an elegant look. The stretch rouleaux waspie creates a beautiful
defined, nipped in waist.
The Novah – The striking Novah collection features a full
cup bra with matching French knickers and kimono in a striking fuchsia shade
with 1930s inspiration.
The Caisey – A stunning basque which uses fine mesh to
sculpt the body, the Caisey is a classic piece with flattering side panels and
a beautiful matching lingerie set.
