I’ve got to admit, nomadic gypsies, sixties simplicity and
couture don’t make for the most obvious of combinations. However, in Riccardo
Tisci’s able hands, the resulting floor length gowns are nothing short of
perfection. Inspired by the opulence of the gypsy world, the collection
features sculptural silhouettes and yards upon yards of decadent beaded
fringing along with his signature detailed cutwork and lace. Precision and
detailing are key in this collection. It’s actually not one of my favourites of
the season or from Givenchy but as a firm fan of Tisci’s work, I can’t help but
to be drawn into his lavish nomad vision.
