Chloe Sevigny is the face of Miu Miu.
Six years after her debut as the face of Miu Miu, Chloe
Sevigny returns to front their autumn/winter 2012 campaign which was shot my
Mert & Marcus. Following several seasons of very young actresses being the
face of Miuccia’s quirky label, it’s nice to see a more appropriate
celebrity/model taking the role. I’ve got to admit though, this is not my
favourite Miu Miu campaign. What do you think?
Katie Holmes covers Elle’s August 2012 issue.
What a well-timed cover! Carter Smith shot Katie Holmes a
while ago for Elle and it would have probably had mediocre sales, as a cover I
think it’s pretty average albeit a little saucy. But factor in a recently
separation from a Hollywood legend and I bet this issue flies off the shelves.
This definitely marks the beginning of a new era for Katie, it seems like she’s
finally ready to step out of Tom’s shadow and become her own woman. Are you
excited to see the issue?
Chanel’s couture nail art.
Beauty bods are normally pretty keen on seeing catwalk
beauty trends but no show whips them up into a frenzy like Chanel. For years,
the colour that Chanel choose to paint on their model’s nails dictates the nail
trends for an entire season. At the couture autumn/winter 2012 show, Chanel
ventured into previously unchartered territory – nail art. Less bold and brash
animal prints and more simple and sophisticated. They used one of their SS12
colours – May – for the base and traced around the outside with a discontinued
metallic silver colour. What do you think of their take on nail art?
Christian Louboutin’s Cinderella slippers.
This is a fashion fairytale come true! Disney and Louboutin
have unveiled a modern day glass slipper to coincide with the release of the
diamond edition of Cinderella.
Emma Stone scores Vogue cover.
I love me some Emma Stone and I couldn’t be more pleased
that she’s getting a lot of love from the glossies. Following on from her
stunning July cover for US Vogue, Ms Stone is gracing the cover of British Vogue
for august. Loving the swinging 60s styling too.
Mila Kunis covers Elle UK’s August issue.
The simply flawless Mila Kunis is the cover star for Elle UK’s
August issue in a beautifully embellished Dior number. The sultry make up and
bouffant hair have a slightly 60s feel, a cue that this era is going to be a
huge fashion inspiration for next season. Mila is undeniably gorgeous but the
one-eyed pose just makes me think of Lila from Futurama. Is it a coincidence
that their names rhyme?!
An extremely well-timed cover for Katie Holmes and Elle indeed! It's also the best shot I've seen of her in years, or perhaps ever x
Mila looks gorgeous!
