I’ve got to admit, for me Harvey Nichols is very much “the forgotten department store”. While Harrods is impossible to ignore, Selfridges’ familiarity and Liberty’s quirk have earned them a place in my shopping heart for life. For me, Harvey Nichols has lagged behind, offering very little to make it a destination for shopping. This has started to be addressed though, buying Fyodor Golan’s entire SS12 collection and supporting the likes of James Long, Katie Eary and Christopher Raeburn in their menswear project have helped Harvey Nichols to carve their niche in the London retail scene.
The latest, and most surprising, design talent that they are championing is Professor Richard Weston. A renowned architect, author and professor of Architecture, Vogue.com have described him as “the most unexpected new talent in British fashion”. Inspired by the natural beauty of gemstones and mineral images, Richard Weston’s range of scarves are a must-have accessory. Stocked in Liberty and Net-a-Porter, one of his designs is actually the top selling scarf in Liberty!! Building on his success, he has now expanded his offering to printed silk tanks featuring his signature mineral, fossil and gemstone prints. The vibrant collection is extremely timely given the prominence of the digital print trend this season. This collection of tanks is available exclusively from Harvey Nichols from early March.
I love the first two tops! especially the second one so colorful, cheerful, perfect for spring/summer.xxmaya
