Another popular designer, there was an actual queue to attend the Shao Yen presentation at Freemason Hall. Deciding it would be too busy, I popped off to Salt which is just across the road and one of my LFW necessities – especially for days spent at Vauxhall Fashion Scout. I popped back just before the one hour presentation slot was over and I’m very glad I did, the crowds were there for a reason. Unfortunately I only got a chance to see a handful of looks as the models began to leave their plinths when there was still 15 minutes to go. The collection was a collision of luxe and sportswear, with fabrics such as Mongolian fur and traditional tweed mixed with elasticised cuffs and drawstring trousers. I loved what I saw in this confident collection, I’m looking forward to seeing Shao Yen’s vision for SS13.
