Kirsty Ward’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection sees the Oxford born womenswear designer Kirsty continue to explore her design signatures of multi-layering, cutaways, embellishment and sheer fabrics coupled with new influences such as neon and neoprene and menswear. Similar to Maria Francesca Pepe, Kirsty blurs the lines between clothing and jewellery as she uses oversized Swarovski necklaces and coloured chains draped over cotton dresses and sheer tops. Next season sees the introduction of her first handbag collection and also a body-con lingerie collaboration with Mint Siren, with a retro Sixties silhouette and futurising long-line bra tops with sculptural bone work. My favourite look is the super sheer blue organza maxi dress and the dipped hem menswear work shirt inspired look .
