Barneys Gaga’s Workshop.
Lady Gaga looked absolutely stunning at the launch of Gaga’s Workshop in Barneys in New York. She wore a custom Chanel couture dress which was specially designed by Karl Lagerfeld. The workshop is on the store’s fifth floor until 2nd Jan and 25% of all sales will goto Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation which focuses on youth empowerment.
Stella McCartney and McQueen to show at London Fashion Week.
The big news this week is that two of London’s biggest fashion exports – McCartney and McQueen – will be returning to show at London Fashion Week in February. When I first heard the news, I thought it was great to have two huge British names back on our schedule. It always makes me a little sad to see our designers show overseas, although it’s obviously a great move for them and British fashion as a whole. McCartney and McQueen aren’t back for good though and it’s not their mainline shows that we’ll be seeing. McCartney will still show her collection in Paris, the London show will be a one-off capsule collection most likely connected to her role as Creative Director of Adidas Team GB. McQueen will be showing their McQ collection, prior to launching their first stand-alone store in Mayfair in Spring. I have mixed feelings about the two shows, what do you think about their return?
Sasha Pivovarova designs for Gap.
Model, painter, actress, designer. Is there nothing Sasha can’t do? The 6-piece collection consists of underwear sets, camisoles, nightdresses and boy shorts which have been inspired by fairytales. With prices starting at £12.95, the range is super affordable and would make a fab Christmas pressie for fellow fashionistas. Is it just me or does the illustration remind anyone of the Prada SS 2006 and 2008 campaigns?
I loved GaGa's dress!Bright Green Laces
I keep meaning to visit Gaga's Barneys workshop here in NYC… I really should go! I love the designs for GAP here. I got quite excited thinking that Isabel Marant was designing a line for them (rather than just a tee) but this collaboration is perfect for them. I agree, quite Prada-esque, which is always a good thing in my book.www.styleonthecouch.com
