In keeping with the theme of more personal blogger
events, I was recently invited to The Box Boutique by my good friend Matthew Zorpas. I popped by during Vogue’s Fashion Night Out but as it was one of the
busiest spots of the evening and I didn’t get a proper chance to peruse, I was
excited to pop back and check out their fantastic range. Owned by fabulous
Russian sisters Yulia and Elena Pasheykina, the concept is to provide a sanctuary
for shoe lovers to indulge their fantasies. The lavish décor features an
abundance of quirky features from neon lighting, pug and bowler hat lamps,
gorgeous chandeliers and plenty of baroque touches; the perfect setting for
their eclectic collection of designers.
Frustrated and inspired in equal measures by the
difficulty of buying more under the radar, niche footwear brands, Yulia and
Elena decided to take the matter into their own hands by opening The Box Boutique on Maddox Street in Mayfair. Home to both established and emerging
labels including Pollini, Raphael Young, Ruthie Davis and Giambattista Valli,
the Mayfair store is more carefully curated shoebox of wonders than shoe
boutique.
After checking out the collection, I had the chance to play dress up in the gorgeous shoes of course as well as the accessories including jewellery, bags and a divine hooded shawl. Huge thanks to Elena, Yulia and Matt for making my shoe daydreams come true.
Oh wow that place looks AMAZING! Loving the heels with the spikes on the back.
