Bottega Veneta’s perfume campaign
Bottega Veneta have just released their third and final short film for the launch of their first women’s fragrance, which features behind-the-scenes footage of Bruce Weber shooting the beautiful Nine d’Urso for the advertising campaign.
V Magazine brings back supermodels.
Bringing supermodels after a two year haitus is a pretty bold move, resulting in four super eyecatching covers featuring two models apiece. Styled by Carine Roitfeld, the result is visually stunning and vibrant. It’s hard to pick a favourite but I think Candice Swanepoel and Joan Smalls pip the others to the post. Carine says: “These eight girls are unique, not one is like the other. Candice is the only blonde and blue-eyed of this new generation of supermodels. Joan is black, Sui He is Asian, Hanaa is North African. It’s their diversity that makes each of them, to me, truly modern. They bring a new energy to fashion.”
Chanel replaces Freja Beha!
Another bold move also involving Carine, Chanel have ended Freja Beha Erichsen’s five campaign reign at Chanel. I have to admit, although the AW11 campaign was cheeky and charming, it wasn’t my favourite so I’m intrigued to see what SS12 brings. Lagerfeld shot new faces Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smalls, who were styled by Carine Roitfeld. Lagerfeld is also due to shoot Arizona Muse for Fendi, replacing Anja Rubik after four seasons as the face of the brand. It seems that Mr Lagerfeld is after change and something fresh.
Prada to launch jewellery collection…in time for Christmas.
Rip up that letter to Santa, ladies, Prada are launching their first jewellery collection next month…just in time for Christmas. The limited edition capsule collection featured a feminine, quirky range of brooches, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and cuffs. I’m pretty partial to a shiny bauble or six, but I’m not convinced by the collection, especially given the price tag which starts at 350 Euros. The leather cuffs are gorgeous though.
