With just six days left til Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, the excitement and anticipation is steadily building. This year is set to be bigger and better than before so I’ve put together my top destinations fora super fun evening.
Alexander McQueen – 4-5 Old Bond Street
The McQueen team will be giving out a limited number of FNO2011 keys with
a special code, check online to see if you’re the winner of an Alexander
McQueen folk tote. They also have limited edition crystal skull keyrings for
sale and amazing window installations with never-before-displayed looks from
the AW11 collection.
Anya Hindmarch – 118 New Bond Street
The ‘How do you wear yours?’ competition is back! One of my personal
favourites of FNO, a mini studio is set up in store and you’re invited to
strike a pose with your favourite bag. Anya will select the most creative pose
and the winner will win the bag they posed with.
Bertie – 45 South Molton Street
An indie rock DJ will provide some tunes while you either pose away in
their mini photo booth or take advantage of their 20% discount for the night.
Betsy Johnson – 29 Floral Street
Betsy Johnson have put together a very girly soiree for the evening,
everything from mini make overs, nail treatments and hair styling make this the
perfect pitstop.
Browns – 23-27 South Molton Street
If the last couple of years are anything to go by, Browns will be one of
the hotspots of the night and perfect for bumping into the hottest London
designers. On the first FNO, I was served by William Tempest and chatted to
Jonathan Saunders and Roksanda Ilincic.
Diane von Furstenberg – 25 Bruton Street
Get ready to experience a multisensory extravaganza at DvF where you can
expect the following: taste – Hakkasan will be providing delicious canapés and
drinks during the evening, sound – guests are promised a fabulous soundtrack
for the evening, touch – the new AW11 collection will be in store, sight – create
your own flipbook instore to take away with you and smell – the new DvF
fragrance will be instore for an exclusive preview.
Dune – 28 Argyle Street
There will be a mixologist instore creating bespoke cocktails, you can
also enjoy 20% off all price-priced merchandise on the night.
Fendi – 181-182 Sloane Street
The new AW11 collection will be available to purchase in store along with
the Atelier Fendi picture exhibition by Karl Lagerfeld.
French Connection – 249-251 Regent Street
Enjoy an exclusive 20% off in all stores plus if you spend over £100 you
will receive a fabulous goodybag. French Connection will also be unveiling
their ‘Vogue’ dress.
Gap – 223-225 Oxford Street
There will be a studio instore and you have the opportunity to be shot in
Gap’s new 1969 denim collection by Tom Giddings and styled by Jaime Perlman.
H&M – Oxford Circus
WAH nails will be in store giving complimentary manicures and there will
also be a fun photobooth for momentos of the night. Customers who spend over
£20 will receive an exclusive scarf and there is a limited edition clutch for
sale.
Harvey Nichols – 109-125 Brompton Road
Harvey Nicks are having a pretty amazing FNO extravaganza. The likes of
Louiser Gray, Marios Schwab, J.W Anderson and Jonathan Saunders will be around
to customise your exclusive Vogue Fashion’s Nigh Out t-shirt. There will be
beauty treats such as lip and nail transfers, eyelash appluications, hair
styling and glitter face art. Disneyrollergirl has collaborated with HN to
launch their ‘Secret Tees’ project.
Kipling – 205 Regent Street
The night will be all about the Kipling x JCDC collaboration, with
special window displays, free gifts, discounts and Sophie from The Illustrated
Nail will be on hand to paint special Kipling x JCDC inspired nail art for
those who purchase from the range.
Kurt Geiger – 65 South Molton Street
Super blogger 5 Inch & Up will be on hand to style together an entire
look based on KG’s concept ‘Everything but the dress’, celebrating their new
accessory and footwear collections. They also have a glittering photobooth and
are offering a super 25% discount on purchases on the night.
Liberty – Great Malborough Street
One not to miss, you need to check out the Liberty HonoLULU Lounge. Celebrating
the launch of Lulu + Co, Lulu Kennedy will be in attendance along with Richard
Nicoll, Jonathan Saunders, Simone Rocha and Michael Van der Ham. If you’ve ever
dreamed of being on the front cover of Vogue, you need to head down to the
scarf room where you can pose under the Vogue masthead after being styled up in
your favourite scarf.
Mulberry – 50 New Bond Street
Pop over to Mulberry for some quintessentially English nosh as well as
half hourly prize draws, face painting, nail painting and a fabulous
photobooth.
Rupert Sanderson – 19 Brunton Place
The prize for the most imaginative event goes to Rupert Sanderson who is
hosting a roller disco! The theme of the night is sophisticated Seventies with
lots of glamour and glitter. They also have an exclusive disco platform boot on
sale during the evening.
Selfridges – 400 Oxford Street
Whether you’re interested in menswear, womenswear, lingerie, beauty or
food, Selfridges have something for everyone on FNO. Suzanne Clemtsna and
Inacio Riberio will be in the Concept Store to talk about their capsule
collection ‘Project 6 by Clements Ribeiro’, check out Mac Me Over if you fancy
a makeover, Pinkberry will be previewing their SS12 flavour while Krispy Kreme
will debuting their LFW collection of donuts.
Stella McCartney – 30 Bruton Street
With a DJ set by Queens of Noize and a dance off party, this is going to
be one of the hippest spots of the night. Stella has designed a gorgeous gold
limited edition bracelet for the evening too.
The Box Boutique – 45 Maddox Street
Super shoe boutique The Box will be going UGG crazy for FNO with dozens
of designs and customisation including Swarovski crystals, vintage scarves and
fur. Several new brands including Giambattista Valli will be launching too.
I hope to make it this year. Missed last year's one, but attended the first one which was fab. Browns was by far my favorite destination then – couldn't believe the number of designers who were manning the store!
