Last week, I hopped over to the ominously named ‘Scandalous party’ by Nyla Boutique, held at the super cool members club Home House. Home to several up and coming, niche designers, Ambi and Navi (owners of Nyla) have a great eye and I covet pretty much every piece of jewellery on the site. My Joomi Lim bracelet always gets admiring glances so if statement jewels are your bag, make sure you check out the jewellery section too.
The party was to celebrate the launch of Christopher Lee Sauve’s new collection ‘Scandal‘ on super cool online fashion and accessory retailer Nyla Boutique’s site. No stranger to scandal, ex Alexander Wang art director Christopher gained notoriety with his “Save Anna” tshirts, referencing rumours that La Wintour was being replaced. Influenced by current events and pop art, his tongue-in-cheek tshirts capture a snapshot in time. Of the collection, Christopher said “I think of scandals and tabloid papers as being a huge part of our culture. This collection idea was based on morals and choices that have been made that have then been blown up to crazy proportions”.
LOL.. those prints made me laugh… I would never wear them, though. Perhaps for a fancy dress party 🙂
