Sorry for a slightly delayed Friday Fashion Fix post, I’ve been a bit preoccupied with other blogger business (namely a gorgeous redesign). Normal 2-a-day service is resuming today though, starting with a sneak peek into what some of my favourite brand have in store for autumn/winter 2011.
Boux Avenue AW11.
Surely the most successful launch of the year, Boux Avenue‘s range goes from strength to strength next season. With a focus on pretty, girly lingerie and loungewear, the autumn/winter 2011 range has plenty of cute must haves which are way too gorgeous to be kept under covers.
Agent Provocateur AW11.
Agent Provocateur’s Autumn Winter 2011 collection references a variety of iconic, powerful women, from Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra to Marlene Dietrich as Catherine the Great. The key pieces this season are the sculpting waspies, while colours and prints are dramatic – think hot pink, coral, violet and French blue.
Motel Rock AW11.
Young fashion brand Motel Rocks steps away from their forte of hot little bodycon dresses next season with a surprising ‘femme fatale’ collection which includes cheer tattoo mesh details and also menswear inspired tailoring and androgynous modern Military pieces. They also have plenty of their signature clolour block and bright bodycon dresses, but the stronger statement pieces have really caught my eye.
Minna AW11.
The autumn/winter 2011 collection from Minna has a really luxe feel, with pieces made from hand-dyed silks and sumptuously soft wool jersey pieces. Black lace, gothic-inspired dresses are a focal point and I love the tweed outerwear. With each piece being made from sustainable, organic, recyclable and locally produced textiles, Minna is redefining the face of eco-fashion.
