Friday Fashion Fix – June 2011

A while ago, I used to do a semi-regular Fashion Fix posts which was a quick hit of bitesize pieces of fashion news. I’ve decided to bring it back as a regular feature every Friday. I hope you enjoy it! 

Helena Bonham Carter is the face of Marc Jacobs Autumn/Winter 2011.

I think this pairing is a match made in fashion heaven, the eccentricly dressed two-time Oscar nominee and one of the quirkiest designers on the block. Shot by Juergen Teller, the ads are a little obscure but lots of fun.

Angelina Jolie for Louis Vuitton’s Core Values campaign

Angelina Jolie looks absolutely stunning in this Louis Vuitton campaign and the story behind it is beautiful too. The campaign was shot by Annie Leibovitz in Combodia, a country which Jolie has very close emotional ties. She travelled there for her rold in Tomb Raider and was oberwhelmed by the beautiful landscape and wamth of its people. She returned as a UN Goodwill Ambassador and went on to adopt her son Maddox. She has been awarded Cambodian citizenship by King Norodom Sihamoni for her humanitarian work. Her fee for the campaign was donated to charity.

Lanvin to launch ‘Petite’ collection.

If there was ever a reason to get broody this is it: imagine dressing your little princess in some teeny, tiny Lanvin. Alber Elbaz was inspired by Jeanne Lanvin’s daughter Marguerite and features several Lanvin signatures from jewels and ballet flats to gorgeous tulle dresses. Absolutely beautiful.

L’Oreal is back at HQ Hair.

HQ Hair have recently re-launched several L’Oreal brands on the site and are offering a huge 25% off the L’Oreal range until midnight on Monday. Just enter LOREAL25 at the checkout.

I just adore this video, which gives you a sneak peek behind Rokit’s forthcoming Autumn/Winter 2011 collection shoot. Not only does it look like a blast, the clothes are so, so covetable.

Natasha Law collaborates with the W Hotel, London. Those who follow me on Twitter will know that my new favourite spot in London is theW hotel, more specifically the super cool bar. The Wyld bar is set to get just a little bit more fabulous as acclaimed artist Natasha Law has collaborated with the bar to create some shot glasses with her signature sexy semi-nude line drawings.

Ayten Gasson makes absolutely stunning vintage-inspired lingerie. When I say stunning, I mean so beautiful you will want to forego clothes so that everyone can appreciate how pretty her pieces are. The shoot and video lookbook were styled by my good friend Frankie who is oozing with awesomeness.
