Aussie Lusciously Light Summer Soiree

On Saturday, something rather epic happened. The Aussie Angels from the North and the Aussie Angels from the South were united for the first time ever for the Aussie Lusciously Light Summer Soiree. It took place in the gorgeous Sunbeam studios which had been transformed into a photo studio, hair salon and bar, complete with a candy floss corner. I know..they spoil us! 

I had a sneaking suspicion that there would be hairstylists on hand so I didn’t do a lot to my hair, just the signature Reena look. This involves spritzing freshly washed hair with Aussie leave-in conditioner, rough drying your hair for about 10 minutes until almost dry, another quick spritz with the leave-in conditioner then twisting your hair into a very rough bun whilst you finish getting ready and travelling to your destination. Once there, undo the bun and give your head a quick shake et voila – a natural, voluminous wavy look.

My hair was styled by the lovely Perry, founder of the newly opened Blue Tit salon in Dalston. He loved my hair as it was and just made the waves a little curlier and added a bit of texture. Amy from Wolf Whistle definitely had the make over of the day. Perry’s partner in crime spent hours curling her hair and then brushing it out to create a candy floss masterpiece. How amazing does she look?
