Two words came to mind when I saw the Louis Vuitton show – opulence and excess. No expense was spared for the Autumn/Winter 2011 show, it was a spectacle which almost rivalled the theatrics of Chanel shows with night watchmen guarding an ornate elevator which transported each model one by one. Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss joined a huge parade of models, Kate caused a commotion on Twitter as she closed the show by slinking down the catwalk puffing away on a cigarette.
Getting distracted by the theatrics of the show would be a huge mistake. The collection sizzled with sexual undertones, from the sheer fabrics, moulded leather bodices, coated leather, thigh high socks with teeny tiny short shorts, rubber skirts, handcuffs..! The clothing was voluminous and nipped in at the same time, with a focus on sleeves, collars, jodhpurs and fitted pencil skirts. The real stars of the show were the accessories, a completely mind-boggling amount of shoes and bags worked their way down the runway, shoulder bags, clutch bags, bucket bags. The collection was huge, but perfectly formed the fabrics look sumptuous, lavish and utterly desirable.
Wow to be in that audience for that show…a girl can dream, right?! 😉
Words cannot express how OBSESSED I am with this show. I'm still in awe of everything that occured – pure bliss. And the Moss closing was legend x

To be honest when I saw this show, the only thing that came to mind was Dolce & Gabbana, the autumn winter 2007, and as for Kate Moss, not big, not clever and I thought they banned smoking on the catwalk? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzS515_p9Vs&tracker=False
I usually like LV collections, but I am not so sure about this one. The smoking thing cetainly turns me off it.
