Giles Deacon’s Autumn/Winter 2011 show was held at the absolutely beautiful Royal Courts of Justice, the perfect setting for one of my favourite shows of the season. The incredibly sensual collection told a story of restrained modesty with flashes of flesh beneath sheer fabrics and cut out panels. It was a very grown up, dark collection but also very decadent with Swarovski crystal embroidery, Swiss lace, heavy brocade, peacock feathers and goat fur amongst the myriad of fabrics and textures used.
Fantastic coverage of the show. I agree it's far more grown-up than previous collections but I love the softened gothic twists he has added to each of the pieces. Great stuff
