Nikolaj Nielsen’s label Won Hundred was founded to change the way Denmark views fashion. I suspect that the label is set to make wider ripples in the fashion world if the spring/summer 2011 collection is anything to go by. The collection is inspired by the long black shadows by objects which create a deformed shadow. Elongated shadows are the central inspiration for this collection, whilst Danish cermic artist Thorvald Bindesboll is a secondary source of inspiration.
Unsurprisingly, languid long dresses, wide leg trousers and skirts make up the key look for the collection. Tailoring in the form of floor length blazers and cropped menswear trousers. Sumptuous fabrics like washed out silk, jersey and soft cottons and details such as tie blouses, knot elements and kimono-inspired jackets complete the collection. The cream whites, pale yellow and burnt oranges are inspired from Bindesboll’s gorgeous ceramics and give the collection a new direction and edge.
I love the shoes! Thank you for introducing me to a designer I had not been aware of, this is a very promising collection.Carol xwww.mystylisms.blogspot.com

Stunning collection with adorable must-have pieces. In particular, I like the washed out denim effect of the tops, slightly dip dyed. x- FashionLifeCoach
