Sometimes people wonder what the point of couture is. Normally I refer them to Dior’s breathtaking dresses and tell them that in comparison, ‘normal’ fashion looks mediocre. For me, couture is about creating something exquisitely beautiful, intricate works of art on fabric. If anyone asked me now, I’d refer them to the Givenchy SS11 collection, Riccardo Tisci’s collection was much less gothic and dark than previous collections, the collection was almost romantic but with a harder edge. He incorporated elements inspired by robots and dancer Kazu Ohno with soft sheer organza and chiffon, ostrich feathers and hours upon hours of intricate embroidery work. The backs of the dresses were stunning. This is my favourite couture collection by far.
Strange and beautiful !http://selenite.weebly.com/
Definitely beautiful and also has me wondering where on earth I can get hold of one of those helmet things. I always thought they looked like some kind of future-viking gear. This is why I love fashion! It doesn't have to make sense!
I love the sheer outfits 🙂
Wow it would be amazing to see these close up. I love the sheer style with the deep V, definitely a work of art!
