Last month, I thought it would be nice to organise a wee blogger’s Christmas get together for some of the lovely folk I’ve met through the crazy world of fashion blogging. We all see each other pretty regularly but usually we’re on official blogger business and taking notes/pictures/asking questions rather than catching up. Oh and I needed to wear my Lanvin x H&M dress in the presence of people who would appreciate it!
I’m not a huge turkey fan so I chose what seems to be blogger’s favourite cuisine, dimsum. Rather selfishly, I chose one of my favourite restaurants – Ping Pong. I’ve been going for years and it’s become my automatic response when someone suggests lunch or dinner. At dinner, both Kristabel and Jenny reminded me that the first time they went to Ping Pong was with me. As I’m such a super-fan, the lovely folk at Ping Pong helped me to plan the shindig, they put aside a private room in the new-ish Appold Street restaurant which is just by Liverpool Street station. The room is absolutely gorgeous, two walls are glass and it’s just stunning.
Unfortunately, a few people couldn’t make it due to the snow which is a shame. But the rest of us – Kristabel from I want you to know, Jenny from The Style PA, Katie from London Plinth, Fiona from Save Our Shoes, Matthew from Un Nouveau Ideal, Alize from Blog de Tendances and Kit from Style Slicker – had a ball. I think we all OD’ed on dim sum and the amazing flowering jasmine tea – if you haven’t tried this, make it your new year’s resolution! Huge thanks to Emma for helping to organise the night.
I had such a blast with you guys, it was a lovely Ping Pong Christmas dinner…THANK YOU REENA!!!
