I’ve seen Vero Moda pieces online (mostly ASOS) and always thought it looked lovely, good quality and the type of thing you would keep for a long time and wear over and over again. Though the brand isn’t very well known over here yet but it has a strong overseas presence in Scandinavia, Europe, the Middle East and Canada. That’s all set to change with it’s first London store opening last week at 179 Oxford Street.
Ok so more about Vero Moda. They’re a high street retailer akin to the likes of Reiss, French Connection – high end high street. In the past, models such as Christy Turlington, Kate Moss and Gisele have been the face of the brand. This gives you an indication of what the brand is like – it has a luxe and sophisticated aesthetic and is aimed at fashion conscious, independant young women. There are several sub-labels within the Vero Moda brand:
* Vero Moda Main line – Fashion focused, high quality line, easy to wear and elegant.
* Vero Moda Jeans – A rock n roll jeans label which uses details like studs and stitching to add interest and edginess
* Vero Moda Basic – More durable and functional than the main line, all the basics you need for your capsule wardrobe.
* Vero Moda Very – Very fashion forward, emulating catwalk trends. Focused on quality, cut and detailing. Very edgy, creative and urban.
The collection I looked at was Very, the upmarket collection. It was gorgeous, I just loved touching the beautiful fabrics especially the leathers and knits. The collection some really covetable pieces, the chunky knit zip up cardi was a favourite as well as the panelled pencil skirt and butter soft leather and suede jacket. I took away a gorgeous leather dress and beautifully tailored military jacket – separate post on those next week.I’ve already worn them tons and have always gotten compliments or admiring glances.
That first jacket is awesome!!
hmmm, i'm wondering whether its going to be expensive? We've got Vero Moda back in my country, and I would not compare prices&quality with fcuk or reiss… I mean I like Vero moda a lot, but it was pretty affordable back there… and btw there is a small section with Vero Moda pieces in House Of Fraser, isn't there? anyways i've got to go and check it out!
Gorgeous!! Love everything! Hope you well babe! xx
I love it all! The grey cardigan is totally my favourite piece, though… it's amazing! ▲ WOLF WHISTLE ▲
