Take the heat with Aussie on Bonfire Night

Brrrr Bonfire Night seems like it was forever ago doesn’t it?! I could certainly do with a fire today it’s f-f-f-f-f-freezing!! Anywhoo…back to the point! A couple of weeks ago, the uber lovely folk at Aussie brought all of their Southern Angels together to celebrate Bonfire Night and the launch of the new Take The Heat range. The heat protection range is great for pretty much everyone, I’m sure we’re all guilty of crimes against hair using GHDs, hairdryers and tongs among various other torture devices. Since I’ve had my fringe cut, straightening is now a daily chore for me. As my hair’s been dyed pretty much every colour under the sun this year, it’s also prone to drying out with everything I put it through! Well worth checking out for it’s moisturising and heat protection qualities. 

The invitation was quite cryptic, the dress code was ‘VIP glam’ and we were told to heat style our hair as the best hair on the night wins a special prize. I decided to be a little different and curl my hair but keep my fringe straight. I was supposed to demonstrate the contrast between straight and curly (what a concept!) but unfortunately November showers  meant my hair was more wavy/messy rather than tumbling curls.

To celebrate Bonfire Night and the new range, the Angels were taken on the London Eye to take in all the fireworks. I’ve been on the eye before but WOW…it’s amazing when you can see fireworks going off all around you! I was in awe, London is such a big, beautiful city. I take it for granted most of the time but it’s such an inspiring place to be. After a couple of trips around the eye, we were whisked off in two giant Hummer limos to a bar in Covent Garden.  What a dream night!
