Living in London, I know that any extreme fluctuation in temperature causes major problems. I’m not talking TFL meltdowns due to snow/rain/leaves on tracks, I’m talking getting dressed in the morning. Though I can’t remember what it actually feels like to have sunshine on my skin, I (vaguely) remember that I just didn’t care about what I wore during the token two weeks of sunshine we get in London. Likewise in Winter, I don’t care about looking like the Mitchelin man, I just want to be warm and toasty.
This weekend has been particularly Arctic, as I found out when running errands on Saturday. This lovely jumper from M&S has become one of my default items to wear when it’s so cold. It’s so thick and snuggly plus it tends to go with everything I own. Case in point, I paired it with a pretty little silk slip from Topshop and electric blue platforms from Matalan and it somehow still works. Fully embracing the art of layering, I did wear tights and leggings over the top, and a vest top under the slip and a lace tee over the top. I cinched in the numerous layers loosely with this lovely little skinny belt from London jewellery brand EC One and protected my head from the elements with a vintage Russian-inspired fur hat.

I am very resentful of winter.
I adore this outfit. You still manage to look really quirky, but remain warm. <3 it.Sarah Betty xxhttp://www.sarahbetty.co.uk
