Over the last few seasons, Burberry has become the shining star of London fashion. The brand everyone looks to, the show which dictates how London is written up, the show which editors fly in for. I think the show caused a buzz before it even began. The show itself was utterly gorgeous. Camel continues to be huge for Spring/Summer along with bright pops of aqua, yellow, orange and magenta to give it a zing. The collection also featured a more muted palette of pinks, ink blue, mint green and soft browns with some metallics also thrown into the mix.
I loved the use of leather and studs to add a toughness, to trenches which was just perfection and also to gorgeous chiffon and silk dresses. There was also a lot of animal print towards the end. The biker jackets are sure to be next season’s aviator. The leather quilted trousers (4:56, 10:01) are rocking my world right now as is the trench with the studs (9:40 onwards).
