Last night, I was fortunate enough to celebrate my birthday for the 3rd time in a month. The first official celebration took place in Ping Pong, one of my favourite places to eat in the whole of London, so it seemed like the perfect place to celebrate the big 2-5. There were a couple of incidents which really ruined the evening though. After a blog post and a few tweets, the incident came to the attention of senior management, much to my surprise. I was promised a second birthday meal to make up for the first. And boy, did they deliver!
I chose to visit the flagship restaurant on Great Malborough St, just a stone’s throw from Libertys. I was joined by fellow bloggers Ozzy, Fiona and Frankie among non-blogger friends, we were seated at the bar initially, and enjoyed a few cocktails and more that a bit of gossiping. I highly recommend the goji berry energising drink. We were then seated downstairs at a slightly secluded table laden with an abundance of drinks and snacks. We ate, giggled, ate some more, laughed, ate more, gossiped and drank. It was the most perfect evening. The manager Lucy was an absolute doll, it just seemed like food and drinks appeared at our table without us even asking.
Here are my ‘must order’ dishes, they must be ordered at least twice ๐
- Spicy Chicken Dumplings
- Hoi Sin Duck Spring Rolls
- Vegetarian Sticky Rice
- Chicken Beggar’s Purse
- Chocolate and Wasabi Mousse
- Chocolate and Banana Spring Rolls
I just want to say a HUGE thank you to Tina and Lucy for an utterly fabulous evening. To my wonderful friends, lots of love, hugs and kisses to you all, just for being amazing.
