Again slightly delayed Fashion Fix…but I posted the Spring 2009 campaign pics so I get let off right? Plus it’s Christmas? *angelic grin* My devotion to the blog is increasing approximately 10-fold, my office has shut for the Christmas holidays (woohoo) so I have a lot more free time on my hands. In fact, expect a special Fashion Daydreams Guide tomorrow….so make sure you check back! And on with the fashion news…
Acne/Lanvin collection
Finally, pictures of the Acne/Lanvin collaboration have surfaced. I remember being ridiculously excited, until I read how much the pieces are going to cost…around the £600 mark if I remember correctly. But salivating over the pictures is free you know 😉 Bit of a let down to be honest…not sure if I would buy anything even if I had the money…
Fashion Collaborations
I’ve got a confession to make, promise you won’t hate me? I actually think Mischa Barton’s bag range is actually quite nice…and I secretly wanted her hair when she was in Season 3-4 of The OC. The bags cute and the little gold emblem is very pretty, a lot better than having a well known name or identifiable pattern on a bag. Mischa is now teaming up with Stacey Lapidus to create headbands…yeah, random! I don’t care about this as much as I care about news that Gwen Stefani’s stylist Andrea Lieberman is to create a new line – A.L.C. No word on when it will hit stores, but pieces will be under $500 yippee!
Vogue Best Dressed List
Best dressed list is out, I think it’s US Vogue as I’m not sure who 4 of the people are but that’s what Google is for.
1. Blake Lively
2. Anne Hathaway
3. Laura Jarrett – who?
4. M.I.A
5. Elettra Wiedemann – who?
6. Alexa Chung
7. Biana Brandolini – who?
8. Sonja Van Bebber – who?
9. Dasha Zhukova
10. Raquel Zimmerman
Beatrix hits DSM
Lastly, a bit of news which has really made me smile. Heard of London-based shoe brand Beatrix Ong? To be honest, chances are probably not. Luckily though, I had the fortune of working at the Beatrix Ong store whilst at uni and know first hand that the shoes are both beautiful and comfortable. I had both flats and vertiginous wedges which saw me though an hour’s commute not to mention all day on my feet, very comfortably. Anywhoo onto the news! Beatrix Ong has teamed up with Dover Street Market to create two exclusive designs for Spring 2009. The Maggie are white slingbacks and Valli are gorgeous metallic or stone platforms. Inspired by Frankie Valli, I personally guarantee that these will be the comfiest shoes you slip your feet into, ever.

Elletra Wiedemann is the daughter of Isabella Rossellini, for the others I don’t know. And to be honest I do know Beatrix Ong (http://glitzproject.blogspot.com/2007/01/woman-designer-in-london.html) but surely have to do another post about her.
